Cirrus Aircraft Integrates Autonomous Emergency Landing in New SR Series G7+

Global – Aircraft manufacturer Cirrus Aircraft has announced the launch of its latest piston aircraft model, the SR Series G7+, which integrates Garmin®’s Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland system – marking the first use of this technology in a single-engine piston aircraft certified by the FAA.

  • Cirrus introduces the SR Series G7+, an upgrade to its best-selling high-performance single-engine piston lineup.

  • The G7+ features Garmin’s Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland, now FAA-approved for this aircraft type.

  • In an emergency, passengers can activate the system with a button, prompting the aircraft to autonomously navigate and land at a suitable airport.

  • The feature is designed for scenarios such as pilot incapacitation, enhancing onboard safety and emergency preparedness.

  • The SR Series G7+ with Safe Return™ is now in active delivery to customers.
