Etihad Airways Hosts 2025 A320 Pilot Recruitment Event in Colombia Amid Surge in South American Interest
Colombia & United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways is launching an A320 First Officer Assessment Event in Colombia as part of its global pilot recruitment campaign, targeting experienced pilots based in South America. This comes in response to overwhelming interest from pilots in the region and is part of the airline’s broader strategy to attract international aviation talent.
The recruitment event will focus on A320 First Officers who meet a specific set of experience and certification requirements. Candidates are encouraged to apply only if they are currently based in South America, as assessment events in other regions will be announced soon.
- Location: Bogotá, Colombia
- Position: A320 First Officer
- Annual Compensation: Up to AED 513,732 (USD 138,318), tax-free, based on 75 flight hours/month
- Benefits Include:
- Education allowance: AED 40,000 (primary), AED 55,000 (secondary), up to 3 children
- 42 days annual leave

Minimum Requirements:
- 2,500+ hours total flying time
- 1,500+ hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit, or high-performance military jet
- 500+ hours on A320 family
- Valid A320 type rating for at least 2 more months at joining
- Flown Airbus FBW aircraft within the last 12 months
- ICAO unrestricted ATPL (no frozen ATPL unless UAE citizen)
- Current Class 1 medical
- English proficiency Level 4+
- Age 50 or below
