Flight Simulator Manufacturer FTD.aero Completes Factory Acceptance Test of B738 Simulator for South Korean Airline
Poland – Flight simulation manufacturer FTD.aero has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of a B738 Fixed-Base Flight Training Device (FTD) for South Korean low-cost carrier T’way Air, marking the company’s first simulator approved for airline training in Korea.
- The FAT was conducted at FTD.aero’s manufacturing facility in Poland, where T’way Air test pilots validated the device through detailed technical assessments.
- The simulator replicates the Boeing 737-800 cockpit and is developed to meet Level 4 qualification standards as specified by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).
- The B738 FTD is scheduled for installation at T’way Air’s training center in June 2025, significantly enhancing the airline’s internal pilot training capabilities.
- This project marks FTD.aero’s entry into the Korean market and expands its growing global simulator portfolio.
- The company currently has nearly 30 full-scale flight training devices, including those based on the B738, B737 MAX (B73M), and A320 platforms, deployed tailored for airlines, training centers, and aviation universities.
