Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) launches “Give Flight” programme

The Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) announced through its official LinkedIn page that it has already launched its “Give Flight” programme which is an initiative under Airbus Community Impact programme.

The community engagement initiative was held in partnership with Women in Aviation International Singapore Chapter which aims to enable and inspire young girls to explore and pursue careers in aviation.

According to its announcement quoted as follows: “An event was held at AATC this week in collaboration with four local non-profit organisations advocating for the less fortunate by offering educational opportunities and enrichment programmes. Altogether, 16 girls experienced an exciting morning filled with fun and educational activities at the training centre.

Following an opening address by Ms. Li San Poh, Vice-President of Changi Airport Group, elected Member of Parliament in Singapore and member of WAISG, the girls enjoyed a learning journey that included a career talk, an aviation industry briefing and an Airbus Pilot Transition APT trainer demonstration.

The highlight of the event saw each participant having a hands-on session in the Full Flight Simulators FFS, under the guidance of AATC’s instructors. ‘It was such as eye opening experience and I had so much fun!’ said one of the girls exuberantly.

Lanmei Training Centre climbs to new heights with FlightLogger

FlightLogger celebrates its first Cambodian partner as Lanmei Training Centre goes live with their digital FlightLogger platform. Adding Cambodia to the list of countries with at least one FlightLogger partner means that FlightLogger is now in 44 countries worldwide.

Cambodia-based Lanmei Training Centre established their training operations in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh only a year ago, and they have been busy ever since. Lanmei Training Centre today has the status of an ATO offering both MCC and type rating courses as well as aircraft maintenance, cabin crew, dispatcher, and other ground training.

It was the newly appointed CFI at Lanmei Training Centre, Yauheni “Eugene” Zakharankau, who contacted FlightLogger last spring to schedule an online demo. Eugene already knew FlightLogger’s digital solution from his previous position at another FlightLogger partner. “I always liked the simplicity of using FlightLogger for instructors and other key personnel. Also, it meets the requirements of our local CAA without any customization needed, and those are just some of many reasons why I recommended it to our general manager”, says Lanmei Training Centre’s Chief Flight Instructor.
