Riyadh Air Appoints Captain Martin Eiba as Chief Operating Officer

Saudi Arabia – Riyadh Air, the new national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has appointed Captain Martin Eiba as its Chief Operating Officer as the airline continues to build its leadership team amid significant fleet expansion. Captain Eiba previously served as Vice President Flight Operations and held the GACA Director Operations Postholder designation.

  • Riyadh Air recently signed an agreement with Airbus for up to 50 A350-1000 aircraft.

  • This brings the airline’s total committed fleet to 182 aircraft.

  • Riyadh Air aims to connect Riyadh to over 100 international destinations by the year 2030.

  • The appointments and acquisitions are in line with Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation and tourism development strategy under Vision 2030.
