Simulator Manufacturer FTD.aero Completes Factory Acceptance Test with Korea’s T’way Air

28th May 2025

South Korea – FTD.aero proudly announces the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of our B738 Fixed-Base Flight Training Device for T’way Air, a leading low-cost airline based in Seoul, South Korea.

The FAT took place at FTD.aero’s plant in Poland, where the training device underwent thorough technical validation by T’way Air’s test pilots. Featuring a fully replicated flight deck and high-fidelity simulation environment, the device is tailored to match T’way Air’s fleet and training standards and is built to meet the qualification requirements of the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).

The B738 FTD will be installed at T’way Air’s training center in Seoul in June, playing a pivotal role in T’Way Air’s training programs, enhancing the airline’s in-house pilot training capacity.

This project reflects FTD.aero’s continuous dedication to providing cost-effective, high-quality training solutions that help airlines improve pilot proficiency, and maintain operational excellence and safety. It is also an important milestone in the company’s development, becoming the first device in Korea to be approved for flight training by the competent civil aviation authorities.

FTD.aero’s growing portfolio includes nearly 30 full-scale simulators modelled after the most popular commercial jet airliners (B738, B73M, A32N), and a wide range of other training devices customized for airlines, training centers, and aviation universities globally.
