Turkish Airlines Appoints Captain Fatih Altunok as Head of Flight Training

Istanbul, Türkiye – Flag carrier Turkish Airlines has appointed Captain Fatih Altunok as its new Head of Flight Training, reaffirming the airline’s focus on structured pilot development and high training standards. The appointment comes as the airline advances discussions on a major aircraft order to support its long-term fleet growth strategy.

  • Capt. Altunok brings over 19 years of experience with Turkish Airlines, including operational roles on the A320, A330, and B737, and prior leadership positions such as Vice President Flight Training and Manager of HF & Training Methodologies.

  • The appointment coincides with Turkish Airlines planning a new aircraft order of 225 jets, aligned with its target to expand its fleet to 800 aircraft by 2033.
