Air Astana Deploys Instructors to Acron Aviation's London Trainign Center for Standardisation in 2026

Kazakhstan – flag carrier Air Astana and pilot training solution provider Acron Aviation highlighted the airline’s in-house pilot training model, which uses two Reality7e Airbus A320 full-flight simulators at its Astana Flight Training Centre. The model reduces overseas training and crew duty-day requirements while supporting recurrent assessments for more than 600 pilots and the group’s planned fleet expansion.

• The second device entered service in April 2026, doubling the airline’s in-house A320 simulator capacity, and became Kazakhstan’s first flight simulation training device certified by both EASA and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
• More than 600 Air Astana and FlyArystan pilots complete training and regular competency assessments at the centre each year.
• Air Astana opened the Flight Training Centre in 2023 with Kazakhstan’s first full-flight simulator.
• Air Astana said it planned to send instructors to Acron during summer 2026 for standardisation to deliver training through Acron’s approved training organisation.
• Acron also agreed in November 2025 to provide A320 type-rating training for Air Astana at its London Training Center. The external arrangement supplements the airline’s internal simulator capacity during fleet and pilot growth.
• Air Astana’s latest official half-year disclosure reported 63 aircraft and a revised target of 86 aircraft by 2030, comprising 83 Airbus A320-family aircraft and three Boeing 787-9s.
