Airbus Helicopters Appoints Benoit Klein as Executive Vice President Operations in 2026

France – Airbus Helicopters has appointed Benoit Klein as Executive Vice President Operations and a member of the Airbus Helicopters Executive Committee, placing him in charge of the manufacturer’s global industrial operations. Klein took up the role on October 1, 2026 and reports directly to Airbus Helicopters Chief Executive Officer Matthieu Louvot.

  • Klein is responsible for manufacturing, supply chain management and operational performance across 12 Airbus Helicopters industrial sites worldwide.
  • He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of the H160 program from 2025 to 2026. Earlier Airbus Helicopters roles included Head of the Centre of Excellence Rotors and Transmissions from 2022 to 2024 and Head of the Paris-Le Bourget site from 2019 to 2022.
  • Klein previously led the H175 final assembly line and served as Industrial Program Officer between 2015 and 2019, after heading the Major Dynamics Components Assembly Line from 2010 to 2014.
  • He also served as President of the GIFAS Industrial Committee between 2019 and 2024 and holds a Mechanical Engineering Sciences diploma from Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
  • Airbus Helicopters reported 23,658 employees at the end of 2025, including 8,747 at Marignane and 7,126 at Donauwörth.
  • Airbus Helicopters delivered 392 helicopters in 2025 and recorded 544 gross orders from 205 customers across 50 countries.
