Vietnam & France – Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has confirmed separate aircraft commitments from Vietnam Airlines and Vietravel Airlines covering a combined 55 aircraft following agreements signed in Paris on 10 September 2026.
About Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam Airlines is Vietnam's flag carrier and operates Airbus A320neo, A321 and A350 aircraft alongside Boeing 787 widebodies. Its existing A350 fleet comprises 14 A350-900s, with the airline having introduced the type into commercial service in 2015.
About Vietravel Airlines
Vietravel Airlines is a Vietnamese carrier that commenced commercial operations in January 2021 and is now part of the T&T Group ecosystem. Its current operation uses Airbus A321 aircraft, while T&T Group is building a longer-term fleet plan around the A220 and A321 families. T&T Group reported four aircraft in the airline's fleet following the addition of A321 VN-A290 in June 2026 and subsequently outlined further aircraft additions during the second half of the year.
