Aviomar Flight Academy Completes Factory Acceptance Test of ALSIM AL42 Simulator

October 7, 2026

France & Italy – Aviomar Flight Academy has completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of its new ALSIM AL42 flight simulator at ALSIM’s headquarters near Nantes, France, advancing the device toward deployment at Aviomar’s Parma Training Centre in Italy. The simulator will support the academy’s multi-engine and instrument training capability as it expands its Parma operation.

  • Aviomar plans to operate two simulators at its developing Parma Training Centre: the new Diamond DA42 FSTD and a Boeing 737-8200 MAX FSTD, alongside flight operations, maintenance offices, classrooms and a hangar for its training aircraft.
  • The FAT follows Aviomar’s acquisition of the AL42 announced in April 2026. ALSIM stated at the time that the device was ordered to support development of the Parma Training Centre and the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy activities delivered there.
  • Aviomar operates training facilities at Rome Urbe Airport, Monterotondo and Parma. The Parma location is dedicated to flight training and the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy, while Monterotondo houses the academy’s simulator and type-rating training activities.
  • The AL42 replicates the Diamond DA42-VI and uses genuine aircraft parts, Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, a GFC 700 autopilot, force-feedback controls and ALSIM’s VFR-VS visual system. It can be configured with analog or EFIS backup instruments and is designed for PPL, CPL and IR/ME training, with qualification standards including EASA FNPT II, FAA AATD/FTD Level 5 and Transport Canada FTD Level 2 with IPC capability.
