Embraer Forecasts Demand for 8,500 New Jets Through 2045

Global – Aircraft manufacturer Embraer forecasts demand for 8,500 new commercial jets with up to 150 seats, valued at USD650 billion, between 2026 and 2045.

• Embraer’s regional delivery forecast comprises:
  • North America: 2,670 aircraft, or 31%.
  • Europe/CIS: 1,870 aircraft, or 22%.
  • China: 1,470 aircraft, or 17%.
  • Asia-Pacific: 1,050 aircraft, or 13%.
  • Latin America and the Caribbean: 740 aircraft, or 9%.
  • Africa: 370 aircraft, or 4%.
  • Middle East: 330 aircraft, or 4%.
  • Global total: 8,500 aircraft.
• Global passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres, is forecast to grow by an average of 3.7% annually through 2045.
• Forecast annual traffic growth by region is:
  • China: 5.2%.
  • Middle East: 4.6%.
  • Africa: 4.4%.
  • Latin America and the Caribbean: 4.3%.
  • Asia-Pacific: 4.1%.
  • Europe: 2.7%.
  • North America: 2.0%.
• Asia-Pacific and China are expected to generate 40% of global passenger traffic by 2045, while Europe and North America will account for a combined 37%.
• Market Outlook 2026 also examines the standard-body freighter segment for aircraft below 40 tonnes, although the announcement did not publish a separate cargo-aircraft delivery forecast.
