Czech Republic & Qatar – Czech flight training organisation F AIR has commenced the Basic Phase of Qatar Airways' Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) training program at Karlovy Vary Airport (LKKV). The academy confirmed that training began according to the planned schedule, marking the next stage in its cadet pilot training partnership with the Qatari airline.

  • F AIR's Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA)-approved training program covers all four phases of the MPL pathway, with the Czech academy responsible for delivering the complete training sequence.
  • The Karlovy Vary training base is dedicated to international airline cadet programs, providing access to controlled-airport operations and accommodation capacity for more than 100 students. The facilities support the delivery of successive airline training phases at the location.
  • The commencement of Basic Phase training represents further progress in the operational delivery of Qatar Airways' cadet training pathway, supporting the airline's longer-term pilot recruitment and development requirements.
  • F AIR's training infrastructure includes a Boeing 737 FNPT II MCC simulator acquired in 2024 and an Airbus A320 FNPT II MCC device added in 2025, supporting its wider airline-oriented pilot training capabilities.
  • AFM previously reported that F AIR welcomed its first Qatar Airways MPL cadets in November 2025, following a five-year training agreement signed at the Paris Air Show on June 19, 2025. The first cadets officially commenced training on November 10, 2025.
