UAE – French flight simulator manufacturer ALSIM has confirmed that Fujairah Aviation Academy has completed site acceptance testing and received UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) certification for its Airliner simulator as an FNPT II MCC device. The qualification provides the academy with a certified platform for airline-oriented Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training.

  • ALSIM identified three stages in the recent commissioning process before regulatory certification: simulator installation, training for the academy's personnel and the Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • The manufacturer's technical team remained on site to support the academy throughout the certification process. ALSIM identifies the device as the first Airliner simulator to achieve certification in the Middle East.
  • AFM previously reported that Fujairah Aviation Academy had introduced the Airliner into its training fleet in September 2026, following a two-simulator acquisition announced in November 2025 that also included an ALSIM AL172. The latest announcement provides further confirmation of the commissioning activities and the GCAA's role in certifying the device.
  • The Airliner combines conventional yoke and fly-by-wire sidestick flight controls within a single generic-airliner simulation platform. It is designed to support MCC, Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) and Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) Phase II training, including automation management, crew coordination and airline operating procedures.
