Italy – Aero Torino Flight School has begun its first course as an Approved Training Organisation at Turin-Aeritalia Airport, enrolling students across private, light-aircraft, glider and recreational flying pathways as the Aero Club Torino operation expands into professional pilot training.
- 38 students started the BRAVO 2026 course on 22 September 2026, the first intake launched by Aero Torino Flight School following its transition to ATO status.
- The intake includes students working toward PPL(A), LAPL(A), Sailplane Pilot Licence (SPL) and basic Volo da Diporto o Sportivo (VDS) qualifications. Aero Torino said some participants are expected to use these courses as an entry point into its newly introduced professional training pathways.
- Aero Club Torino announced the creation of Aero Torino Flight School on 17 September 2026, positioning the ATO as an expansion of its existing flight-training activity into professional pilot education.
- At the launch of the ATO, Aero Club Torino reported a fleet of 20 aircraft, more than 5,000 annual flying hours and over 50 pilots trained each year. Its instructors collectively represented more than 120,000 flight hours of experience.
- Aero Club Torino began the formal ATO certification process in May 2026, stating that the approval work involved 35 principal manuals, more than 50 supporting documents and several thousand hours of internal preparation.
