Pier Seven Aviation Advances Latest Indian DGCA Boeing 737 Type Rating Batch in September 2026

United Arab Emirates – Sharjah-based full flight simulator training center Pier Seven Aviation has reported that its latest cohort of Indian DGCA pilots is progressing through Boeing 737 type rating training in September 2026.

• The center's published Indian DGCA B737NG pathway combines theoretical and practical training. Pier Seven currently lists 96 hours of ground instruction delivered across 13 instructor-led days, with simulator phases covering training, LOFT and checks; its published syllabus also includes MCC/JOC, Jet Induction/Jet Orientation and low-visibility training elements.
• Candidates for the program are required by Pier Seven to hold a Commercial Pilot Licence and valid Class 1 Medical before beginning the advanced training pathway. The program is aimed at pilots progressing from commercial licence training into multi-crew jet operations.
• AFM previously reported that Pier Seven Aviation's Boeing 737NG Full Flight Simulator received Indian DGCA approval in 2024, adding a second India-focused narrowbody type rating pathway alongside the center's Airbus A320 offering. AFM also reported in February 2026 that the center was delivering both A320 and B737 initial type ratings under Indian DGCA requirements.
• Pier Seven states that its Sharjah operation provides more than 20,000 simulator hours of annual capacity and operates around the clock for individual pilots and airline customers. Its training portfolio covers type ratings, recurrent and renewal training, command upgrade, MCC/JOC and simulator leasing.
• The center's published simulator portfolio covers Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and Boeing 747 equipment. AFM has previously reported six Full Flight Simulators across A320neo, A320ceo, B737 Classic, B737NG and B747 platforms.
