Portugal – aviation training group and flight training organisation International Flight Academy (IFA) has partnered with aviation software company ForeFlight and integrated its flight-planning platform across the academy’s aircraft fleet.

  • Students will use ForeFlight to develop skills in:
    • Flight preparation and route planning.
    • Navigation.
    • Situational awareness.
    • Operational decision-making.
  • ForeFlight is an integrated application available through iPad, iPhone and web interfaces, providing flight planning, aviation weather, maps and charts.
  • The platform can also support aircraft profiles, estimated flight times, route information, airport data and VFR or IFR flight-plan preparation.
  • IFA reports operating more than 30 aircraft across three Portuguese bases in Cascais, Viseu and Braga.
  • AFM previously reported that IFA selected VRpilot to introduce interactive procedure training, providing earlier evidence of the academy’s investment in digital training resources alongside aircraft and simulator instruction.
