Global – Aviation training technology provider SimViz Labs Launches Upgraded iPad-based B737 MAX FMS Trainer with Fully Functional PFD, Engine Indications, Flight Controls, and Role based layout.
- SimViz Labs has launched an upgraded B737 MAX Flight Management System Trainer (FMST), featuring a fully functional Primary Flight Display (PFD), engine start indications, interactive flight controls, and autobrakes.
- The upgraded trainer allows students to follow the Bowed Rotor Motoring (BRM) sequence and practice monitoring engine start events, including N1 and N2 acceleration, fuel flow, EGT rise, oil pressure, and start valve indications. Students can also observe the disappearance of the EGT start-limit redline as the engine reaches stable idle.
- The fully functional PFD supports in-flight director guidance practice, flight mode awareness, and monitoring flight parameters. Interactive flaps, speed brakes, stabilizer trim, landing gear, autobrakes, and transponder controls complement the FMS, navigation display, and Mode Control Panel.
- SimViz Labs also introduced role-based layouts, allowing users to choose between the Captain’s left-seat and First Officer’s right-seat configurations to practice with their respective instrument and control arrangements.
- The expanded functionality gives training organizations additional opportunities to teach procedures, reinforce monitoring, and prepare students for the full-flight simulator training.
- SimViz Labs will demonstrate the upgraded B737 MAX trainer at EATS 2026 on 4–5 November at the Estoril Congress Centre in Cascais, Portugal. Attendees can visit the team at booth #5 in the Take Off Zone, Upper Floor.
