South Africa – 43 Air School, Africa's largest flight school, has graduated 15 students from its August 2026 class.

  • The academy currently offers training pathways including Private Pilot Licence, Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence, Integrated Airline Pilot Training and an IATPL+ Airline Ready program, alongside instructor, technical and aerodrome flight information service training.
  • AFM previously reported that 43 Air School announced a 40% expansion of training capacity at Port Alfred in March 2026, including growth of the aircraft fleet to 70 aircraft, two additional simulators including an ALSIM ALX, recruitment and training of 30 additional flight instructors, 60 additional student accommodation rooms and expansion to six runways.
  • 43 Air School has also been changing its training methodology during 2026. AFM reported in May that the academy had implemented Boeing's Competency-Based Training and Assessment framework across its student training programs following specialist training for senior instructors.
