Spain's EasyATPL Secures AESA Approval for Online ATPL(A) Theory Training

Spain – EasyATPL has launched an online EASA ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge program after securing Approved Training Organisation status from Spain's Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea (AESA).

• EasyATPL currently prices its ATPL(A) theory course at €2,500 and states that the programme comprises approximately 600 hours of online theoretical instruction plus revision classes. The course covers the 13 ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge subjects, with KSA requirements incorporated into the programme.
• The organisation describes the programme as 100% online, combining self-paced study material with online revision instruction and support from active or former airline pilots and qualified flight instructors.
• Students are required by EasyATPL to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Private Pilot Licence before enrolling. The PPL does not have to have been issued by an EASA authority, according to the training provider.
• EasyATPL states that an intensive student studying approximately eight hours per day could complete the training phase in around 90 days, while the programme remains self-paced for students combining ATPL theory with employment, hour building or other training.
• The course includes online study content, progress testing, exam-style questions and individual instructor support. EasyATPL's published course information also lists ATP Digital materials, video learning content and access to a question bank.
• The organisation was created by three pilots who identified distance learning as a way to reduce the travel, accommodation and scheduling requirements associated with traditional ATPL theory delivery. EasyATPL states that its founders' backgrounds include airline operations, flight instruction, examining and aviation law.
• EasyATPL's current AESA approval is limited to ATPL(A) modular distance learning, with no practical flight training courses listed against E-ATO-329 in the regulator's August 2026 register.
