Texas, USA – Spartan Education Group (SEG) has announced the acquisition of Aviator Air Flight School, LLC, a long-standing flight training and fixed-base operator (FBO) located at Grand Prairie Municipal Airport (KGPM) in Texas. The acquisition, completed on October 15, 2025, marks SEG’s entry into the Texas market and further expands its nationwide aviation training network.

  • With this acquisition, Aviator Air—which has served the Dallas–Fort Worth aviation community for more than 20 years—joins SEG’s portfolio of flight and aviation technical training organizations operating across the United States.
  • Aviator Air will continue its operations under existing management and retain its student-focused training culture, while benefiting from SEG’s national resources, strategic partnerships, and operational expertise.
  • The integration expands SEG’s training fleet to over 160 aircraft, positioning it among the largest flight training networks in the U.S.
  • Aviator Air provides FAA Part 61 training toward five key pilot certifications—Private Pilot (ASEL), Instrument Airplane, Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine, and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)—and also operates as a full-service FBO.
  • SEG’s acquisition of Aviator Air complements its existing training institutions, including Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, McAir Aviation in Colorado, and Illinois Aviation Academy in West Chicago.
  • Collectively, SEG’s network has trained over 100,000 pilots and aviation technicians, supporting the aviation industry’s growing demand for qualified professionals.
