US Aviation University Adds Discounted ATP-CTP Pathway with Miami Simulator Training Center

Florida, USA – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach Campus has established a partnership with Miami-based FAA Part 142 training provider Pan Am Flight Academy to provide discounted Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) access. The announcement states that Daytona Beach students and alumni will be able to access the programme alongside career-development and networking opportunities with Pan Am’s aviation industry network.

• Pan Am’s dedicated Embry-Riddle enrollment page currently lists an exclusive ATP-CTP price of US$3,395 for ERAU CFIs and students.
• The Pan Am programme combines four days of synchronous instructor-led virtual ground training with two days of in-person simulator training in Miami. The simulator phase consists of four hours in a fixed-base simulator and six hours in a full-flight simulator, with simulator training required to be completed within 60 days of finishing the ground-school component.
• Pan Am states that its ATP-CTP course meets FAA 14 CFR 61.156 requirements and includes 30 hours of academic training covering subjects including aerodynamics, meteorology, air-carrier operations, leadership, crew resource management and safety. FAA guidance requires ATP-CTP applicants to complete at least ten hours of flight simulation training, including at least six hours in a Level C or higher full-flight simulator.
• The partnership was developed over approximately ten months, according to Christopher P. Crisomia, Associate Director at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Center for Career and Professional Development. Embry-Riddle’s official Career Services directory identifies Crisomia as the Associate Director supporting Aeronautical Science students at the Daytona Beach Campus.
• In addition to the training discount, the arrangement is intended to give Embry-Riddle students and alumni opportunities to connect with Pan Am aviation professionals and industry contacts as part of their progression toward airline careers, according to the partnership announcement.
• Embry-Riddle already operates its own FAA-approved ATP-CTP programme at Daytona Beach. The university’s Level D CRJ-200 full-flight simulator supports ATP-CTP training for enrolled students, and FAA training specifications identify FA 495AA — Airline Transport Pilot Certification and Training Program — as an approved course at the Daytona Beach Campus.
• Embry-Riddle’s current Daytona Beach Flight Operations Center equipment listing identifies 101 training aircraft comprising 87 Cessna 172s and 14 Diamond DA42-VIs. The university also operates a broader simulation fleet supporting single-engine, multi-engine and airline-oriented training.
• Pan Am’s ERAU-specific partnership page lists 23 training devices across three Miami-area facilities: 21 full-flight simulators and two B767-300ER flight training devices. The FFS fleet shown on the page comprises three B737 Classics, one B737-200, three B737NGs, one B737 MAX, one B747-200, four B747-400s, one B757, three B767s, two B777-200s, one A320 and one A330.
• AFM previously reported that Pan Am introduced an FAA-approved Virtual Instructor-Led Training format for ATP-CTP in 2026, allowing pilots to complete the ground-school portion remotely before attending the required simulator sessions in Miami up to 60 days later.
