Saudi Arabia & Spain – flyadeal CEO has shared that its third batch of Saudi cadet pilots has successfully completed A320 type-rating in Madrid, marking another milestone in the airline’s accelerated nationalisation and pilot-development strategy aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The latest batch consisted of 18 newly qualified First Officers
The airline’s government-supported scholarship programme aims to train 150 Saudi cadet pilots by mid-2027; with 38 trainees now graduated, the programme is 25% complete.
Training is conducted in partnership with full flight simulator training center Global Training Aviation (GTA) in Madrid
The carrier’s fleet stands at 43 aircraft, with a plan to more than double to over 100 aircraft by 2030, driving substantial long-term pilot demand.
