Arizona, USA – Ace Simulations LLC, a U.S.-based company that builds flight simulators from real aircraft with integrated Garmin avionics, has announced a change of ownership, with Jake Bettin acquiring the company from founder Ben Lambertson.
- Jake Bettin has acquired ownership of Ace Simulations and plans to expand the company's market reach into private clubs, residential developments, venues, and aviation enthusiast markets, in addition to its existing training applications.
- Founder Ben Lambertson remains with the company in a production leadership role, overseeing all simulator builds and quality control from the shop floor.
- Ace Simulations builds simulators from real aircraft airframes equipped with real Garmin avionics, a differentiation from synthetic training devices that use purpose-built cockpit shells.
- The company currently operates a simulator installation at a private club in Scottsdale, Arizona, which Bettin cited as a model for the daily-use engagement the company aims to replicate across new locations.
- AFM previously reported on Ace Simulations' conversion of a Beechcraft Baron into a twin-engine simulator in partnership with Grand Canyon University's Canyon Ventures facility, as well as the company's development of a Jabiru 170 simulator equipped with Garmin G3X and GTN750 avionics.
