Florida, USA – Acron Aviation Academy, the Sanford, Florida-based flight training organisation of Acron Aviation, has announced the recipients of its EXCEL Scholarship, with four Korea Aerospace University cadets — Ralph Hur, Seongjin Lee, Taehyung Kim, and Juwan Kim — receiving the merit-based award to support their Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFI-I) training.
- The four cadets demonstrated the performance criteria required for EXCEL Scholarship eligibility, which includes first-time ground school exam passes, strong checkride results, and positive instructor feedback throughout their Professional Pilot Program training.
- The EXCEL Scholarship is uncapped and awarded to every eligible student who meets Acron Aviation's published performance standards — the award is not competitive or limited in number.
- The scholarship covers the full published course fee for one advanced training phase within Acron's Professional Pilot Program: either the Multi-Engine Add-On at USD 11,429 or the Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument Add-On at USD 9,930, depending on the student's chosen program track.
- The scholarship was launched in January 2026 as part of Acron Aviation Academy's 40th anniversary celebrations, reflecting the organisation's commitment to recognising high-performing cadets and removing financial barriers to instructor certification.
