Egypt – Flight simulation and pilot training solutions provider Acron Aviation has confirmed an agreement to supply Egyptair Training Academy with a Reality7e Airbus A320neo Full Flight Simulator, adding further detail to an acquisition first announced by EgyptAir in July 2026. The device will become the academy's second A320neo-capable FFS in Cairo and will increase capacity for A320-family type rating, recurrent and command upgrade training.

  • The new Reality7e device will be installed at EGYPTAIR Training Academy's Cairo International Airport campus.
  • EgyptAir's existing A320neo/ceo Level D Full Flight Simulator entered service in December 2020. The device, manufactured by the former L3Harris Commercial Aviation business (now known as Acron Aviation), supports A320-214, A320-232 and A320-251N configurations and is equipped for CFM56-5B4, IAE V2527-A5 and CFM LEAP-1A26 engine configurations.
  • Acron Aviation said its relationship with EGYPTAIR spans almost 25 years. The existing A320neo-capable simulator was the first RealitySeven A320 device acquired by an operator in the Middle East and Africa, according to Acron Aviation.
  • EGYPTAIR Training Academy's public simulator information identifies A320neo, A320, A330, A340, B777 and B737 NG Full Flight Simulators.

  • “We continue to invest in the latest training technologies to strengthen EGYPTAIR Training Academy's position as a leading regional hub for pilot training in the Middle East and Africa,” said Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of EGYPTAIR Holding Company.
