Egypt – Airline-owned simulator training centre EGYPTAIR Training Academy has signed an agreement with Acron Aviation to acquire an Airbus A320neo full-flight simulator, renewing a partnership that previously delivered the academy’s current A320neo/ceo device. The order will give the Cairo academy a second confirmed A320neo-capable FFS and increase its capacity for A320-family pilot training.

  • The agreement was signed on 24 July 2026 during Farnborough International Airshow by EGYPTAIR Training Academy President Walid Soliman and Acron Aviation representative Nick Bendal.
  • The academy’s existing A320neo/ceo simulator supports the A320-214, A320-232 and A320-251N configurations. The L3Harris-manufactured device entered service in December 2020 and is qualified to EASA Level D. L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions was renamed Acron Aviation in 2025.

Statements

  • “We continue to invest in the latest training technologies to strengthen EGYPTAIR Academy's position as a leading regional hub for pilot training in the Middle East and Africa,” said Ahmed Adel, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of EGYPTAIR Holding Company.
