Global – Acron Aviation, a global commercial aviation training provider formerly known as L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions (CAS), has shared in an interview with Aviation Week that it is poised for accelerated growth following its acquisition by U.S. private investment firm TJC. With a legacy dating back nearly 100 years, the company is realigning its commercial strategy under new ownership to drive both organic and inorganic expansion.
Acron Aviation is prioritizing long-term airline partnerships, positioning its training centers as extensions of airline facilities.
One of the most recent deals it announced was a multi-year training agreement signed with My Freighter (also operating as Centrum Air) from Uzbekistan; training to occur primarily in Bangkok, with additional capacity from Crawley, UK.
A new Airbus A320 full-flight simulator (FFS) has been installed at the Crawley center, with training scheduled to commence in early 2026.
Expansion plans include:
New narrowbody FFS deployments (locations to be announced)
Geographic growth in training centers
Increased collaboration with Acron’s simulator manufacturing division
Growth in data-driven training tools, including pilot performance analytics
Pilot performance monitoring using competency-based digital training tools is gaining traction, but regulatory adoption remains a bottleneck.
Despite global aircraft delivery delays, demand for training remains high. Acron Aviation Academy reports strong cadet intake and increased interest from airlines seeking to expand pilot pipelines.
Statements
" “Our academy business is our early warning system for the simulator side. The intake that we’re seeing into the academy is significant, and the amount of airlines that are looking to increase the number of students that they’re taking into their pipeline is growing as well.”
