Azerbaijan – flight simulator manufacturer Acron Aviation's Senior Vice President David Coward attended the official inauguration of an Acron Aviation Boeing 787 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at the National Aviation Academy, in partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
- The inauguration was attended by UK Trade Envoy Lord Alderdice and UK Ambassador Fergus Auld OBE
- The installation reflects a long-standing collaboration between Acron Aviation, AZAL, and the National Aviation Academy, first initiated over 15 years ago
- The Baku-based training centre now houses eight simulators, positioning it as a regional centre of excellence for aviation safety and pilot development
- The new simulator will support Boeing 787 flight crew training, helping AZAL expand widebody capabilities and meet operational demands
- The facility plays a key role in ensuring self-sufficiency in type-rating and recurrent training within Azerbaijan’s aviation sector
