AELO Swiss Academy Becomes Diamond Aircraft Approved Training Center in 2026
Switzerland – AELO Swiss Academy is proud to announce that it has officially been designated as Diamond Approved Training Center (DATC) following the signing of the agreement on February 19, 2026 at the Pilot Expo. The agreement was formally signed by Jane Wang, Flight Operations Director at Diamond Aircraft Industries, and Jaime Ordovás, Business Development Director at AELO Swiss Academy, marking a significant milestone in AELO’s continued commitment to excellence in flight training.
This recognition places AELO Swiss Academy among a select group of training organizations worldwide that have been officially endorsed by Diamond Aircraft to deliver training in accordance with the manufacturer’s rigorous operational, instructional, and safety standards.
The Diamond Approved Training Center designation reflects AELO Swiss Academy’s extensive experience operating and training with Diamond aircraft, including the DA20, DA40, and DA42 platforms, which form the backbone of its integrated airline pilot training programs.
Further reinforcing its long-term partnership with Diamond Aircraft, AELO Swiss Academy has recently placed an order for 18 new Diamond DA20 aircraft, significantly expanding its single-engine training fleet. Twelve aircraft are scheduled for delivery throughout 2026, with the remaining six expected in 2027. This investment forms part of AELO’s strategic fleet expansion plan to increase training capacity while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency, safety, and training quality.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Jane Wang highlighted the importance of partnering with high-performance training organizations: “We are pleased to welcome AELO Swiss Academy into Diamond Aircraft’s global network of Approved Training Centers. Their professionalism, modern fleet, and commitment to delivering high-quality training make them an ideal partner to represent Diamond’s standards and philosophy.”
Jaime Ordovás emphasized the strategic importance of the agreement for AELO Swiss Academy: “Becoming a Diamond Approved Training Center is a significant milestone for AELO. Diamond aircraft are central to our training philosophy due to their safety, efficiency, and advanced technology. This recognition reinforces our commitment to providing world-class pilot training and further strengthens our position as a leading aviation academy in Europe. Our recent order of 18 new DA20 aircraft reflects our long-term vision and confidence in Diamond as our primary training platform.”
The agreement was signed during Pilot Expo, one of Europe’s leading aviation career and training exhibitions, bringing together flight schools, airlines, manufacturers, and aviation professionals from across the globe.
As a Diamond Approved Training Center, AELO Swiss Academy will deliver manufacturer-aligned training programs, ensuring students receive standardized, high-quality instruction on Diamond aircraft systems and operations. The designation also strengthens AELO’s ability to support airline partnerships and prepare students for modern airline environments.
This milestone forms part of AELO Swiss Academy’s broader strategy to continue investing in fleet, infrastructure, and training quality, ensuring its graduates meet the highest international standards while supporting the growing global demand for airline pilots.
