AELO Swiss Academy To Add 3rd New Diamond DA42 Aircraft to Fleet

Switzerland – AELO Swiss Academy, a Swiss headquartered flight training group based at Locarno Airport, has highlighted its Diamond DA42 twin-engine fleet — currently two aircraft operating at Locarno, with a third DA42 due to join the fleet next month — as the academy continues an active multi-type fleet expansion programme at its Locarno base.

Recently, AELO Swiss Academy announced that it has officially been designated as Diamond Approved Training Center (DATC) following the signing of the agreement on February 19, 2026 at the Pilot Expo.

In October 2025, AELO Swiss Academy signed a purchased agreement with Diamond Aircraft for 12 DA20i Katana aircraft, with an option for an additional six DA20i Katanas for delivery in 2027.
