Germany – Fairnamic, the organiser of AERO Friedrichshafen, has announced details of AERO 2027, scheduled for 14–17 April 2027 in Friedrichshafen, building on a 2026 edition that drew 860 exhibitors from 50 countries and approximately 37,000 visitors — making it Europe's largest trade show for general aviation, business aviation, and air sports for the second consecutive year.

  • For 2027, AERO will introduce a refined layout with clearer segmentation: helicopters relocating to hall A2 alongside business aviation and flight schools; single- and twin-engine piston aircraft in halls A3–A6; and a dedicated hall A7 for start-ups, hydrogen, electric, and new aircraft concepts.
  • The AERO Gliding Expo returns in 2027 after a two-year cycle, complementing the main show's offering with glider manufacturers and suppliers.
  • The Business Aviation Show Hub — covering hall A1 and the Business Aviation Dome — will operate over two and a half days (14–16 April), reflecting the sector's growth as the strongest performer at AERO 2026 with 50-plus business jets and turboprops on display.
  • AERO 2027 will debut the inaugural Air Charter Expo Regional – Europe, organised in collaboration with The Air Charter Association (The ACA) and Business Air News, hosted within hall A1.
  • More than 75 exhibitors from AERO 2026 have already confirmed participation in 2027.
  • The AERO GA Academy and new MRO workshop formats for private pilots and air sports clubs will expand the show's professional development offering, alongside the AERO Hydrogen & Battery Summit for new technologies in aviation.

Statements

  • "Following the outstanding success of the 2026 edition, we carefully considered the feedback received from the industry. We are therefore very pleased to offer our exhibitors and visitors an even better segmented and more clearly structured AERO next year, making their participation even more efficient," said Tobias Bretzel, Project Manager and Show Director, AERO / Fairnamic.
  • "We are excited to bring the European version of the hugely successful Air Charter Expo (ACE) to AERO for 2027. Air Charter Expo is the leading trade show for aircraft charter and business aviation, organised annually by The Air Charter Association and Business Air News, hosted by London Biggin Hill Airport. This event has grown tremendously in the past five years, and the time is right to introduce the first regional edition of the show. AERO is the perfect host for Air Charter Expo Regional, offering members and industry partners the opportunity to network and build new connections in Europe," said Glenn Hogben, Chief Executive, The Air Charter Association.
