Aéropyrénées Recruits TKI Instructors for January 2027 La Réunion ATPL Launch

France – French flight training organisation Aéropyrénées has begun recruiting Theoretical Knowledge Instructors (TKIs) for a new training presence in La Réunion being developed with Aéro Run Training, ahead of the first 20-student ATPL theoretical knowledge course beginning in January 2027.

• The students will complete nine months of full-time, in-person ATPL theoretical knowledge training at Aéro Run Training's facilities in Sainte-Marie. The partners describe it as the first ATPL theoretical training course of its kind to be delivered in La Réunion.
• Following the theoretical phase, students are planned to continue to mainland France for practical pilot training with Aéropyrénées. The school currently operates training locations at Perpignan, Toussus-le-Noble and Valence, with its published 2027 schedule covering ATPL theory, CPL, MEP, instrument, instructor and MCC training.
• Aéropyrénées reports a fleet of 42 aircraft across its principal training centers. Its published fleet includes Piper PA-34 variants and Partenavia P68 twin-engine aircraft; Piper PA-28 Arrow and PA-28-140/160/180 aircraft; Socata TB9 and TB20 aircraft; and the Cessna 208 Caravan.
• Aéro Run Training is already active in aviation vocational training in La Réunion and is a training subsidiary within the Air Austral group. Its existing portfolio includes Cabin Crew Attestation and airport-related training, while the partnership with Aéropyrénées extends its offering into professional pilot theoretical instruction.
