New Zealand – AFM participated in New Zealand's Aviation Industry Association Conference 2025, held from 14–16 September at the Takina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, where AFM's Managing Director Maximilian Buerger delivered a presentation on global pilot demand and supply dynamics and their specific relevance to New Zealand.

  • AFM forecasts that global pilot demand will significantly rise again in 2026, exceeding 2024 and 2025 levels.

  • The presentation stressed that New Zealand has a strategic opportunity to strengthen its position as a global flight training hub, leveraging its established infrastructure and reputation for high-quality training.
