Air Arabia Academy Recognises 72 Graduates Across Pilot Training Programs in 2026

November 6, 2026

United Arab Emirates – Sharjah-based Air Arabia Academy, the aviation training division of low-cost carrier Air Arabia, has held its 2026 graduation ceremony, recognising achievements across initial pilot qualification, First Officer training and airline command development. The event reflects the academy's role in supporting Air Arabia's pilot recruitment pipeline and the career progression of existing flight crew.

  • A total of 72 graduates were recognised across First Officer training, Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) programs, as well as Command Upgrades.
  • The ceremony covered multiple stages of pilot development, from initial commercial qualifications and transition into airline operations to the progression of experienced First Officers into captain positions.
  • Air Arabia Academy's Airline Pilot Training Program is structured around approximately 20–24 months of initial MPL training, followed by the accumulation of 1,500 flight hours in collaboration with Air Arabia towards validation of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
  • The academy has also opened applications for its 2027 MPL intakes, including candidates entering professional pilot training directly from secondary education. The program incorporates theoretical instruction, core aircraft flying and airline-oriented advanced training.
  • The academy's Airbus A320 simulator infrastructure includes two Level D Full Flight Simulators, an A320 fixed-base simulator qualified to FNPT II MCC standards, and an A320 Maintenance and Flight Training Device (MFTD). The equipment supports MPL training, aircraft type ratings, recurrent training and other airline pilot qualification activities.
  • AFM previously reported that Air Arabia Academy held its 2025 graduation ceremony in March, recognising more than 30 cadets who completed its MPL program. Unlike the earlier ceremony, the 2026 graduation figures encompass several categories of initial and career progression training.
