Air Astana Group Signs Largest Ever Direct Order for 25 Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft

Kazakhstan – Air Astana Group, the leading airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus by revenue and fleet size, has signed a firm order for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft — five A320neo and 20 A321neo — in its largest ever direct order, deploying the fleet across both Air Astana and low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan as part of fleet expansion and renewal.

• The 25-aircraft order was signed on the 20th anniversary of Air Astana's first A320 operations in 2006.
• Air Astana Group currently operates a fleet of 59 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, and the 25-aircraft addition represents a significant fleet expansion creating substantial pilot recruitment, type rating, and conversion training requirements across both Air Astana and FlyArystan.
• Air Astana has an established training relationship with Acron Aviation for A320 type rating training at its London Training Center (November 2025) and operates its own simulator infrastructure, with the 25-aircraft fleet addition likely requiring expanded FFS capacity and training throughput.
