Air Astana Trains More Than 600 Pilots Annually on 2 A320 Full Flight Simulators

Kazakhstan – Air Astana Group has reported that more than 600 pilots complete training and regular assessments annually at its Flight Training Centre in Astana, which operates two Acron Aviation Reality7e Airbus A320 full flight simulators.

• More than 600 Air Astana and FlyArystan pilots use the center each year for training and regular competency assessments.
• The facility operates two Reality7e Airbus A320 full flight simulators. The second device entered service in April 2026, doubling the center’s Airbus simulator capacity.
• The second simulator became Kazakhstan’s first flight simulation training device to hold certification from both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
• Air Astana opened the center in 2023 with Kazakhstan’s first full flight simulator, reducing the need to send pilots abroad for recurrent training.
• The additional capacity also supports Air Astana Group’s planned expansion after its order for 25 Airbus A320neo-family aircraft, comprising five A320neos and 20 A321neos.
