Latvia – airBaltic Pilot Academy, the training division of Latvian national carrier airBaltic, has graduated 17 students who have received their commercial pilot license upon completion of the full-time Airline Transport Pilot program, with graduates representing Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and Latvia.
- The airBaltic Pilot Academy currently has 151 active students, the majority from the Baltic countries with others from EU nations including Denmark, Germany, France, Finland, Spain, and Italy. Women account for more than 10% of the academy's student body.
- Over the years, 183 graduates of the airBaltic Pilot Academy have joined the airline, with most now flying as First Officers and several serving as training instructors. A number of alumni have successfully completed their Captain upgrade, becoming among the first Pilot Academy graduates to serve as Captains at airBaltic.
- The academy operates a cadet sponsorship program under which airBaltic provides financing in the form of a loan for remaining studies after a student has successfully passed the airline's pilot assessment and become an employee.
- airBaltic operates one of Europe's youngest fleets, consisting of 55 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, and employs more than 3,000 people. The airline is majority-owned by the Latvian state (88.37% voting rights), with Deutsche Lufthansa AG holding 10%.
