Airbus Strengthens Presence in Saudi Arabia with New Riyadh Headquarters Leadership in 2025

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Airbus has announced the appointment of Eid Al Qahtani as President of its new regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The appointment reflects Airbus’ commitment to expanding its presence in the Kingdom and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.

  • Leadership Appointment: Al Qahtani brings over 20 years of leadership experience, including his previous role as Head of Operations for Airbus Helicopters in Riyadh. His appointment aims to drive Airbus’ business growth in the region.
  • Regional Goals: The Riyadh headquarters aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans to expand air connectivity to over 250 destinations and invest up to $100 billion in aviation infrastructure.
  • Workforce and Localization: Airbus employs more than 350 people in Saudi Arabia, with 30% being Saudi nationals. Through its partnerships, including the Industrial Participation (IP) agreement signed in January 2024, Airbus is actively contributing to localizing aerospace expertise and technology.
