Global – European aerospace manufacturer Airbus has reported a strong rebound in supplier performance, reinforcing its confidence in meeting its delivery target of 820 aircraft in 2025. This coincides with Airbus’ strategic move to vertically integrate key aerostructure production capabilities through the acquisition of operations from Spirit AeroSystems.

The company aims to ramp up production of its narrow-body aircraft to 75 jets per month by 2027
Airbus highlighted noticeable improvements in supply chain reliability following years of pandemic-induced disruptions
The acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems facilities supporting Airbus programs is scheduled to close in Q4 2025
This vertical integration will give Airbus greater control over critical aerostructures, stabilizing its production pipeline
