Algeria's Sky Training Aviation Partners with Mediterranean Higher Institute of Business and Science in 2026 to Combine University and Professional Pilot Training

Algeria – Algerian flight training organisation Sky Training Aviation (STA) has partnered with the Mediterranean Higher Institute of Business and Science (MHIBS) to establish a pathway allowing students to undertake university studies alongside professional pilot training. The structure enables participants to attend their academic program during the week while completing pilot training with STA at weekends, reducing the need to pursue the two qualifications sequentially.

• MHIBS currently offers four Bac+3 degree pathways covering Management, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Electronics. Under the new partnership, participating students will combine their university studies with STA professional pilot training delivered on weekends.
• The partnership follows earlier joint student-recruitment activity between the two organisations. MHIBS participated in STA's July 2026 open day in Boumerdès, while a further joint aviation open day is scheduled at the MHIBS campus in Hydra, Algiers, on September 30, 2026.
• STA's integrated ATPL(A) pathway is structured over 36 months and includes ATPL theoretical knowledge, CPL(A) VFR training, instrument training, multi-engine instrument training and Multi-Crew Cooperation. The school states that much of its theoretical instruction is already scheduled at weekends, aligning with the structure of the new university pathway.
• Algeria's National Civil Aviation Agency lists STA as an approved flight training organisation in Boumerdès, authorised for PPL, CPL, MCC and IFR theoretical and practical training, ATPL theoretical knowledge and simulator- and aircraft-based IFR instruction. STA identifies Ghriss Airport in Mascara as its flight-training base.
