Philippines – Pilot training and full-flight simulator training provider Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) has broken ground on AAG Central, a new two-site training development in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu. The project expands an AAG flight training presence established on the island earlier in 2026 and is intended to increase training capacity and provide greater operational continuity across the group's Philippine training network.
- The AAG Central development comprises two sites: the AAG Central Integrated Training Facility at Magay Resort and the AAG Central Hangar at Santa Fe Airport.
- The new operation will sit alongside AAG's existing Clark and La Union activities under its One AAG training model. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines' May 2026 register lists Alpha Aviation Group (Philippines) as an active Approved Training Organisation in Clark and AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT) as an active ATO at San Fernando Airport, La Union.
- AAG said Santa Fe's operating environment will support flight training while adding another location to its integrated Philippine training infrastructure.
- AFM previously reported that AAG inaugurated a Flight Training Hub at Santa Fe–Bantayan Island Airport in February 2026. The latest development expands that presence into a two-site infrastructure project incorporating both a dedicated integrated training facility and an airport hangar.
- AAG's wider Philippine pilot training pathway combines ab-initio flying with advanced airline preparation and Airbus A320 simulator training. AFM reported in 2025 that the Clark training center operated three Airbus A320 full-flight simulators and one A330/340 full-flight simulator, including an A320 Level D 2.1 device added during that year.
- AAG training materials identify Cessna 172 and Tecnam P2006T aircraft within its practical training and maintenance environment.
