Alpha Aviation Group Outlines Three-Hub Philippine Pilot Training Network

Philippines – Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) has outlined how its Philippine pilot training operation is being structured across three hubs in Clark, La Union and Bantayan Island, Cebu under its “One AAG” model. The locations have differentiated roles spanning ground school, Full Flight Simulator training, ab-initio flying, navigation and instrument training, following AAG's expansion into Cebu during 2026.

• The three-hub network comprises AAG Clark at Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT) at San Fernando Airport in La Union and the developing AAG Central operation at Santa Fe, Bantayan Island in Cebu. AAG is currently marketing its Integrated PPL-CPL-IR pathway with a training duration of approximately 12-15 months.
• Clark serves as AAG Philippines' headquarters and is designated for ground school, simulator training and instrument-rating night flying conducted through Clark International Airport. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) lists Alpha Aviation Group (Philippines) as an active Approved Training Organisation, with its current certificate valid through September 5, 2029.
• The Clark approval covers Airbus A320 and A330 type-rating activity alongside ATPL theory, Synthetic Flight Instructor training, Multi-Crew Cooperation and cross-crew qualification courses. AAG's synthetic training infrastructure was reported in 2025 as comprising three Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulators, one A330/A340 Full Flight Simulator and an A320 Flight Training Device; a newer complete device inventory has not been independently confirmed.
• At San Fernando Airport, La Union, AICAT is positioned primarily for Private Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence flight training. CAAP's May 2026 register lists AICAT as an active pilot school under ATO certificate 2019-06, renewed through April 26, 2031.
• AICAT's approved training capability has historically extended beyond PPL and CPL into Instrument Rating, Flight Instructor, Multi-Crew Pilot Licence and ATPL theoretical knowledge courses. Its synthetic equipment also includes an ALSIM AL172M2 Advanced Aviation Training Device approved by CAAP for Instrument Rating training and instrument skill tests.
• AAG Central on Bantayan Island is being positioned for PPL flying, CPL cross-country and long-navigation flights and Instrument Flight Rules training. The location expands the group's access to a different operating environment and provides another base through which flying activity can be distributed across the Philippine network.
• AAG formally established its Bantayan flight-training presence in February 2026 and in September broke ground on a larger two-site AAG Central development comprising an Integrated Training Facility at Magay Resort and a dedicated hangar at Santa Fe Airport.
• The three locations create a pathway in which cadets can undertake academic and advanced simulator activity at Clark, core ab-initio flying at La Union and additional navigation and instrument operations from Bantayan. AAG says the multi-location structure is intended to support training continuity and provide different operating environments while retaining common training standards across the network.
• AFM previously reported that AAG broke ground on the expanded AAG Central facilities in September 2026, following the opening of its initial Bantayan flight-training operation earlier in the year.
