Global – Flight simulator manufacturer ALSIM has highlighted the AL2006, a new flight training device specifically designed to replicate the Tecnam P2006T NG twin-engine aircraft, targeting flight schools and approved training organisations delivering PPL, CPL, and instrument rating programmes.
- The AL2006 is certified to EASA FNPT II and FTD Level 5 standards, as well as AATD (FAA) and TC FTD 2 IPC, making it eligible for use across multiple regulatory frameworks.
- The device features original Garmin® G1000® NXi avionics with GFC 700 autopilot, active control loading, and a specific flight model developed from aircraft flight data — providing a full-size, type-accurate replica of the Tecnam P2006T NG cockpit.
- The instructor station is semi-enclosed and equipped with two large touch screens, a remote iOS interface, map display, weather condition adjustment, failure menu, and positioning and repositioning functions — designed for ease of use without requiring advanced computer skills.
- The visual system comprises an ALSIM VFR-VS Total Immersion display with a 210° x 50° field of view.
- Installation requirements for the AL2006 are a room footprint of 5.20m x 5.80m with a minimum ceiling height of 2.90m, and access door clearance of 1.60m wide by 2.10m high.
- Professional Aviation Academy, Italy, has publicly endorsed the AL2006 device, with its Accountable Manager and Director citing the Tecnam P2006T NG as one of the best-selling twin-engine aircraft on the market and highlighting the simulator as a key component in delivering high-quality, cost-effective twin-engine training.
