Andorra– On Friday, February 20, 2026, at Pilot Expo in Brussels, Elixir Aircraft and Andorra Aviation Academy formalized the sales agreement for an Elixir aircraft to be delivered in summer 2026.

This order forms part of Andorra Aviation Academy’s development strategy. The academy, headquartered in Andorra la Vella, has chosen the Elixir to launch its flight operations and support the rollout of its planned new practical training offering.

The school was won over by the aircraft’s performance and innovative design. As a 4th-generation aircraft built entirely from carbon composite using technology inspired by offshore racing boats, the Elixir combines lightness and robustness, providing a training platform tailored to the demands of airline pilot training.

"We have selected the Elixir as the first aircraft for our academy because its safety, advanced design, and operational efficiency perfectly align with our vision of delivering aviation training at the highest standards of quality and safety." –Francesc Mora, CEO of Andorra Aviation Academy.

"We are very pleased with the trust placed in Elixir Aircraft by Andorra Aviation Academy. We sincerely thank them for choosing the Elixir as their launch aircraft and look forward to supporting its entry into service and the continued development of this rapidly expanding school." –Arthur Léopold-Léger, President and Co-Founder of Elixir Aircraft About Elixir AircraftElixir Aircraft is a French aircraft manufacturer founded in 2015 to address the evolving needs of general aviation. Headquartered in La Rochelle, the company employs more than 200 people. Elixir Aircraft has designed and produces a 4th-generation two-seat training aircraft, certified under EASA CS-23 since 2020 and FAA FAR Part-23 since July 22, 2025. The aircraft incorporates technology inspired by competitive sailing, known as "Carbon Oneshot", which allows the structure to be built in a single piece. This simplified design reduces the number of components, leading to fewer potential failures, improves safety, reduced maintenance, and lower operating costs (approximately $50 per flight hour for fuel and maintenance).Today, 50 Elixir aircraft are in active operation, with more than 300 4th generation aircraft included in the company's order book through firm orders, pre-orders and letters of intent). In June 2023, the French President announced a €13 million subsidy to support Elixir Aircraft's growth. In early 2024, the company secured €40 million in development funding to support its next five years of operations. In June 2025, Elixir Aircraft was selected by ENAC (École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile) to renew its VFR training fleet. The company is currently preparing to open a new 15,000 m2 (160.000 sq ft) production facility in La Rochelle, along with a reassembly and delivery facility in Sarasota, Florida.About Andorra Aviation AcademyAndorra Aviation Academy is an EASA Approved Training Organisation (EASA.ATO.0033), established in 2015 and headquartered in Andorra la Vella. It provides high quality pilot education with safety at its core, beginning with a comprehensive distance learning ATPL Theory programme. The academy is working to open a training base at Andorra–La Seu d’Urgell Airport (LESU) by September 2026. Initial flight operations will use the Elixir for ab initio training and the Cirrus SR20 G7+ for more advanced phases, reflecting a focus on modern aircraft and strong safety features. From September 2026, through a partnership with Institut Aéronautique Amaury de la Grange (IAAG) in Paris, the academy will also offer a hybrid ATPL Theory course delivered at IAAG’s Paris facilities Source: Elixir Aircraft Photo Credit: Elixir Aircraft
