Japan – Japanese airline holding company ANA Holdings Inc. and Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer have signed an agreement for eight additional E190-E2 aircraft, increasing ANA HD’s firm orders for the type to 23 while retaining five options.

The eight-aircraft agreement formalises ANA HD’s July 29, 2026 decision to expand its E190-E2 commitment. The group previously committed to 15 firm aircraft and five options, taking the combined position after the latest agreement to 23 firm aircraft plus five options.
ANA HD’s first E190-E2 is scheduled for delivery in 2028. ANA has previously said the approximately 100-seat aircraft will be used on domestic services to provide greater flexibility in matching aircraft capacity with demand.
The additional aircraft are linked to ANA’s planned expansion of ACMI operations with IBEX Airlines. Under an agreement announced on July 29, ANA and IBEX are preparing to begin the arrangement in FY2029, subject to regulatory approval. ANA will be responsible for route planning and sales, while IBEX will operate ANA flights using IBEX flight crews; maintenance for the common fleet is planned to be managed by ANA.
ANA and IBEX have agreed to use the E190-E2 as the common aircraft type for the planned operation.
