Australia – The UNSW School of Aviation hosted Captain Chris Andrew of Cathay Pacific for an industry engagement session, offering students an in-depth look at airline career pathways, operational realities, and Cathay Pacific’s current recruitment environment.

  • Captain Andrew, a 747 Trainer with Cathay Pacific, outlined his full career progression and the roles that shaped his development as a commercial pilot and instructor.
  • Captain Andrew delivered a detailed overview of Cathay Pacific’s pilot recruitment process, offering students practical guidance relevant to future airline applications.

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) School of Aviation hosts regularly students from the Hong Kong Future Pilot Program. AFM team note - HKFTC collaborates with three flight training organizations in Australia and the United Kingdom. The program offers structured courses leading to a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), beginning with theory and flight simulation training in Hong Kong.
