India – state-owned oil refiners have kept jet fuel prices unchanged for domestic flights at INR 104,927 (approximately USD 1,104) per kiloliter in New Delhi for June 2026, following a plea from Indian airlines to halt further price increases as the industry contends with the fallout from the Middle East war, depressed domestic demand, and elevated operating costs.

The price freeze follows an 8.6% increase in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) in April, with the government requiring prices to remain constant in May. Refiners have also reduced jet fuel prices for international flights, providing additional relief to carriers operating long-haul services.
Indian airlines requested the price freeze from refiners including Indian Oil Corp. and Bharat Petroleum Corp., with key carriers having reduced flights through March and April due to depressed demand in the world's third-largest domestic aviation market after passing elevated fuel costs to passengers through higher fares.
India has announced multiple measures to soften the aviation industry impact, including rebates on aircraft parking charges and tax reductions on fuel for flights operating from Delhi and Mumbai, the country's largest airports.
Airlines face compounding cost pressures from a weaker rupee — increasing the cost of dollar-denominated aircraft leases and overseas airport charges — alongside the loss of Iranian airspace for European and American routes after Pakistan's earlier airspace ban forced carriers to use the Iranian corridor.
