ATP Flight School Hosts SkyWest Airlines Recruitment Visit at Long Beach Training Center in August 2026

California, USA – US flight training provider ATP Flight School has reported that representatives from SkyWest Airlines visited its Long Beach, California training center in August 2026 to engage with student pilots and flight instructors. The visit provided participants with direct access to airline recruiters and information on career opportunities through ATP's established SkyWest Airlines pilot pathway.

  • SkyWest Airlines hired 119 ATP Flight School graduates during January–August 2026, according to ATP's September 2 hiring update, making the carrier the largest regional airline employer of ATP graduates during that period.
  • ATP reported that 122 new cadets joined the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program in May 2026. As a SkyWest Elite flight school partner, ATP enables eligible students to apply for the cadet program from the beginning of their flight training.
  • Through ATP's SkyWest Airlines Career Track, accepted cadets can access airline mentorship, interview preparation and priority interview and class date arrangements. A guaranteed interview is available upon meeting the airline's hiring requirements.
  • During the Long Beach visit, SkyWest recruiters met with students and instructors to discuss airline career opportunities and the transition from flight training to commercial airline operations.
