ATP Flight School Promotes Yassin Kenna to Managing Flight Instructor in Hartford

Connecticut, USA – US flight training group ATP Flight School has promoted Yassin Kenna to Managing Flight Instructor at its Hartford-Brainard Airport training center in Connecticut. The appointment adds local supervisory capacity for instructor standardization, checkride preparation and training continuity at a location delivering ATP's airline-focused professional pilot training programs.

• Kenna moved into the Managing Flight Instructor position in August 2026 after serving as a Flight Instructor with ATP Flight School from March 2026.
• In the new role, he leads and mentors a team of certificated flight instructors, providing operational guidance, feedback and instructional support while maintaining an active flying and teaching schedule.
• His responsibilities include conducting stage checks, remedial training and checkride preparation to support student progression and compliance with ATP's training standards.
• Kenna is also responsible for managing instructor schedules, resolving operational issues and coordinating with other ATP departments to reduce training delays, while acting as a point of contact between instructors and management.
• The role includes maintaining compliance with FAA regulations and ATP policies and supporting a standardized training environment at the Hartford location.
• Kenna has also served as a representative with the FAA Safety Team since March 2025.
• ATP's Hartford-Brainard Airport facility delivers the Airline Career Pilot Program and Flex Commercial Pilot Program and is designated as a multi-engine, flight instructor stage and maintenance location within ATP's national network.
• ATP recently reduced the published completion timeline for its Airline Career Pilot Program by 25%, with zero-experience students now able to complete the training phase in nine months. The company attributed the change partly to improved aircraft availability and reduced delays between training completion and FAA practical tests.
• The training organization currently reports 87 flight training centers, 658 aircraft and 177 simulators nationwide. Its fleet comprises 326 Cessna 172 Skyhawks, 230 Piper Archer TX aircraft and 102 Piper Seminoles.
• ATP's fleet flies more than 600,000 hours annually and supports more than 13,700 FAA pilot certificates and ratings each year. More than 30 factory-new aircraft are scheduled to join the fleet during 2026, with additional aircraft deliveries continuing through 2027.
